Where am I?

... my logical/physical location

A figure below shows my location from the logical point of view...

I have two machines. One is a full tower type IBM PC/AT clone, called ``nimbus'' and the other is a note book type of same clone, called ``nimbus2''. Between nimbus and nimbus2, there's a IP link by using PPP with speed of 115.2kb/s. Only nimbus has dial-out device, but nimbus2 also can access outer networks through this IP link. It's quite often that nimbus2 is off line, and taken away for mobile computing...
NIFTY Serve is a one of the biggest commercial BBS service in Japan. This is also providing email, netnews, telnet, ftp and archie with internet. But the host machines of NIFTY Serve don't support contacting with IP protocol with users. So all users can apply character-base service as listed above.
RIM NET is an ISP (Internet Service Provider). This provides IP connection to user, shell account, and some disk space usable for such as this pages.

Physical location is much more easier to understand than logical one. You can see at a glance of map below.
